Drawing on René Girard, Hubert Étienne reflects on the risks of technologies designed to capture and polarize human attention. In response, he advocates an ethics of attention capable of guiding artificial intelligence and social relations toward responsibility, limits, and care for others, in dialogue with the Andalusian tradition of convivence.
At a conference held at the Federation of Peñas of Córdoba, Robert Lanquar and historian Virginia Luque reflected on convivence between the three cultures, between myth and history. Through the memory of Qurtuba and the everyday life of the peñas, they presented convivence as a concrete and contemporary practice.
Córdoba and Sidon have been designated 2027 Mediterranean Capitals of Culture and Dialogue by the Union for the Mediterranean and the Anna Lindh Foundation. The initiative promotes a model of cultural and responsible tourism based on convivence, Mediterranean cooperation, and the enhancement of heritage, local communities and intercultural dialogue.
