Thematic axes
Main thematic lines of the II Córdoba Forum

Convivence and climate change
Climate change is reshaping relations between countries and societies. It generates social imbalances through its effects on biodiversity, extreme weather events such as droughts and floods, agricultural production, migration, rising sea levels and international trade.
The political and social challenge then becomes this: how can we live together? How can we choose the path of Convivence to find solutions to the impacts of climate change? What decisions should we take today: opting for technological progress or for sobriety?
The Córdoba Forum will invite its participants and members to become ambassadors of Convivence, helping societies adapt better to climate change and, wherever possible, reduce its impacts.

Convivence among communities
Within this chiaroscuro between peace and war experienced by growing numbers of regions and territories across the world, the challenge is to choose models of responsible and solidarity-based development that foster quality and dignity of life among peoples and nations, together with their ethnic, religious, gender and other minorities, increasingly connected through social networks and digital platforms.
From the local to the regional level, the ethic of convivence moves territories towards peace and equity.
How can political and institutional leaders be persuaded to make it a priority? What good practices of territorial convivence exist around the world? How can the Córdoba Forum help them gain recognition and share their solutions as widely as possible?

Promoters of convivence
Who are those able to create the “common ground” of convivence at local, national and international levels?
It is not only a matter of moving beyond the colonial legacy or clinging to the wounds of the past, but of reconnecting with historical truths and giving voice to those willing to redress power imbalances created over centuries.
The promoters of convivence are, and will be, those whose moral and social compact leads towards a new geopolitics based on public diplomacy, often transparent, between national civil societies and their governments.
Helping them become better known and better recognised will be one of the aims of the Córdoba Forum.
